Tavia Tuesday #1

Meet the Chief Archivist

Today marks the first Tavia Tuesday, a recurring celebration of the Divine Archives’ brilliant, diligent, and chronically exasperated curator: Tavia Tabularia.

Because even gods need someone to keep their paperwork in order.

Keeper of the Divine Archives

Tavia serves as the Chief Archivist of the Divine Archives, the Sanctum’s grand repository of information on every known Follower and Spell.

Within the Archives, players can browse their collection, search for specific entries, filter cards by realm and type, and inspect detailed records covering their statistics, abilities, lore, and additional curator’s notes.

Tavia oversees all of it.

Every record. Every classification. Every obscure magical footnote.

She takes her responsibilities very seriously—even when certain other Sanctum employees do not.

Order Meets Chaos

Players are introduced to Tavia during their first tour of the Sanctum, where she attempts to provide a composed and professional explanation of the Archives.

Unfortunately, Shop Girl has already arrived.

And Shop Girl has made a few… unauthorized improvements.

The handmade “Waifunomicon” sign hanging beneath the official Archives placard is not an approved rebranding initiative.

This dynamic sits at the heart of Tavia’s role in the story. She is intelligent, organized, and deeply proud of her work—but her carefully maintained dignity is constantly being tested by Shop Girl’s teasing, shortcuts, and complete disregard for archival decorum.

Tavia would strongly prefer that everyone behave like responsible divine professionals.

She has so far been unsuccessful.

More Than the Responsible One

Although Tavia often plays the straight woman to Shop Girl’s chaos, she is not simply the perpetually annoyed librarian.

She possesses a dry sense of humor, a competitive streak, and a much more emotional side hiding beneath her polished demeanor. The more time players spend around the Sanctum, the more cracks begin to appear in that carefully composed façade.

Usually because Shop Girl is hitting it with a hammer.

Her expressive character sprites allow her to shift from warm professionalism to embarrassment, frustration, sadness, and full-blown fury as conversations unfold. Developing those reactions—and the chemistry between the Sanctum’s residents—has been one of the most enjoyable parts of writing the game.

The First of Many Tavia Tuesdays

Future Tavia Tuesdays will feature information on various followers and spells selected by Tavia, as well as story previews, Archive developments, lore, and other glimpses behind the scenes.

For now, please offer a warm welcome to Tavia Tabularia, Chief Archivist of the Divine Archives.

And kindly refrain from renaming her workplace.

She has already prepared the disciplinary forms.
